Managing Fruit Fly – Regional Grants Program

Agriculture Victoria has announced the "Managing Fruit Fly - Regional Grants Program".

Applications for this grants program close on December 18th 2016. The first round of grant funding can be awarded to horticulture industry organisations, not-for-profit organisations including community groups, local governments or educational institutions that operate or reside in one of the three key horticultural areas: Greater Sunraysia, Goulburn Murray Valley & Yarra Valley.

The Managing Fruit Fly - Regional Grants Program will assist in the delivery of a coordinated and collaborative approach to fruit fly management across Victoria in alignment with the state-wide Action Plan.

The Regional Grants Program will empower regional Victorian industries and communities to take the lead on fruit fly management in their local area through the development and delivery of state aligned, regionally specific action plans which include the roles and responsibilities of all stakeholders (industry, community, local and state governments) at the local level.

Grants will be awarded to groups or organisations, to support regional co-ordination of fruit fly management activities, the delivery of localised on ground community control programs, and local communication and engagement activities to raise awareness of, and increase participation in, fruit fly management by all stakeholders in regional Victoria.

Applications must be submitted online via the Agriculture Victoria website.

Please feel free to contact Bio-Trap for wholesale pricing.
